If you are comparing Qromo and Menyo, you are probably looking at two products that overlap on the surface (both give you a digital menu behind a QR code) but were designed for different markets. We have tried to be fair: we only state facts about Qromo that its own public website shows, and where we are not sure, we tell you what to ask. Qromo is made by Cromo S.r.l., a company based in Milan, Italy. Its site presents it as a combined cash point, payments, fiscal compliance, digital menu and order-and-pay system, and it lists integrations with Glovo and Deliveroo. That is a strong profile for a venue in Italy or elsewhere in Europe that needs a till and fiscal receipts in one product.

Menyo is built for restaurants, cafés and bars with MENA in mind, with Egypt as its first market: Arabic menu translation, WhatsApp order updates, delivery zones, reservations, loyalty and a restaurant website sit in one account, with a POS and kitchen display on the Professional plan.

2Where Qromo is the better fit

Be honest with yourself about these, because they are real advantages:

You operate in Italy or another European market with fiscal receipt rules. A product whose cash point was built around those rules will save you a separate till and a lot of accountant questions. Menyo does not offer European fiscal compliance.
You sell through Glovo or Deliveroo. Qromo lists integrations that bring those orders into its cash point. Menyo does not integrate with third-party delivery apps.
Guests paying from their phone at the table is central to your service. Qromo markets pay at table and tap to pay. Menyo's guest orders go to the kitchen and are settled at the POS or in cash, so if phone payment at the table is a must-have, weigh that heavily.
You want a long, unhurried trial. Thirty days lets you run a full month of service before paying. Menyo's trials are shorter.

3Where Menyo is the better fit

You operate in Egypt or the wider MENA region. Your guests order in Arabic and English, your orders arrive by WhatsApp, and your delivery business runs on your own zones and riders as much as on apps. Menyo was designed around that reality.
You want Arabic on the menu without typing every item twice. On the Professional plan, Menyo's AI translation can produce an Arabic version (as well as Italian, Spanish and Russian), and guests switch language inside the menu. Qromo also advertises translation into many languages, so test how each one handles your actual dish names.
You need more than a menu and a till. Menyo's Professional plan combines table QR ordering, a POS, a kitchen display, reservations with online booking, a loyalty programme, promotions and a customer database. If you would otherwise buy three tools, that matters.
You run your own delivery. Menyo's delivery ordering validates the address against your delivery zone, applies a minimum order and delivery fee, and can send the guest status updates on WhatsApp.

4POS and kitchen: two different starting points

Qromo starts from the till. Its site describes counter sales, waiter order taking, statistics and a kitchen monitor around a cash point. If you want your payment terminal, fiscal printer and menu from one vendor in Europe, that is the logical design.

Menyo starts from the guest's phone. The QR menu, table ordering and waiter calls come first; on the Professional plan you add a POS that rings up orders, applies offers, calculates tax and service charges, handles several open tables at once, and records payment as card, cash or digital wallet, plus a kitchen display where tickets move from pending to preparing to ready and the guest's confirmation page updates live.

What neither of us can tell you from a feature list is whether it matches your hardware. Before you commit to either product, ask:

Which card terminals and receipt printers work with it in my country?
Does it produce the tax documents my accountant needs where I operate?
Can I run the POS on the tablets I already own?
What happens to orders if the internet drops for ten minutes?

5Arabic menus and right-to-left layouts

Many platforms list Arabic in their language menu. Fewer render it well. Right-to-left text can break prices, mix up the order of modifiers, or push English words to the wrong side of a line. The only reliable check is a real one.

Take five of your most complicated items: a long Arabic name, an English brand name inside Arabic text, a price with modifiers, a dish with an allergen note.
Enter them in each platform's trial.
Open the menu on a mid-range Android phone set to Arabic, on mobile data, and read it as a guest would.
Switch to English and back. Check that the language choice sticks when you move between categories.

6Pricing: compare the plan you will actually need

Qromo prices in euros and its site lists a free trial; check its current pricing page for the modules you would need, because a cash point, order-and-pay and delivery integrations may sit in different tiers.

Is Qromo available for restaurants in Egypt?

Qromo's website is available in many languages including Arabic, but its product story centres on European fiscal rules and European delivery apps. Ask Qromo directly about support, payment terminals and tax documents for Egypt before signing up.

Can guests pay at the table with Menyo?

Not inside the menu today. Guests order from their phone, the order goes to the kitchen, and staff settle it at the POS (card, cash or digital wallet on the Professional plan) or in cash. If in-menu payment is essential to you, that is a genuine reason to look at other options.

Does Menyo integrate with Talabat, Glovo or Deliveroo?

No. Menyo runs its own delivery and takeaway ordering with zones, fees and minimum orders. Orders from delivery apps stay in those apps.

Which is easier to switch away from later?

Ask both vendors whether your QR codes point to a URL you keep, and whether you can export your menu and customer data. Printed codes that die with a subscription are the most expensive part of any switch.

Write down the three things your venue cannot run without: maybe fiscal receipts, maybe Arabic ordering, maybe phone payment at the table.
